Join guest instructor Cheryl Jacobs for a creative and hands-on two-day workshop where you’ll explore the expressive world of soft wax casting!

In this class, you’ll learn to manipulate soft sheet wax, wax wire, and modeling wax to build organic, flowing designs that would be difficult to achieve with traditional hard wax carving. Whether you’re inspired by natural forms, abstract shapes, or whimsical textures, this technique opens up a whole new approach to designing jewelry in wax.

Over two 6-hour sessions, you’ll:

• Learn the properties of different types of soft wax and how to work with each one.

• Shape, build, and sculpt your design using layering and modeling techniques.

• Create dynamic textures and flowing forms.

• Prepare your piece for casting with spruing and investment setup.

• Experience the casting process and finish your unique silver piece with filing, polishing, and final detailing.

This class is ideal for both beginners and experienced jewelers looking to try a fresh technique. You'll leave with a one-of-a-kind silver ring, pendant, or sculptural piece—completely handmade and uniquely yours!
