2- Day workshop - 10 to 4:30 pm SIGN FOR BOTH WORKSHOPS AND GET 10% OFF WITH THE FOLLOWING LINK: All Levels Join jeweller Matthieu Cheminée from Montreal for this hands-on two-day workshop exploring both no-solder and soldered chain-making techniques. Students will learn how to transform old pliers and tweezers into practical chain-making tools, which will then be used to create unique, no-solder chains. The workshop will also cover techniques such as pulling and annealing thin wire, twisting wires to create textured effects, and more. Five no-solder chain styles will be covered: Double S, Kona, Double Kona, Twist, and Yao. To aid in learning, demonstrations and initial practice will be done with thick electrical wire before transitioning to thinner gauges for finer work. The workshop will also introduce at least five soldered chain styles, including several from the loop-in-loop family, as well as the Palm chain and Flat Palm chain. This course offers a comprehensive approach to chain-making techniques, making it an excellent opportunity to expand your jewelry skills.
