Have you always wanted to try silversmithing? Here's your chance to test it out. You will learn all the skills needed to walk away with a finished piece of your making!

Over the weekend, your instructor will introduce you to the silversmithing basics, some of which include: sawing, filing, sanding, texturing, disc cutting, riveting, polishing & finishing. There will be plenty of time to practice this wide array of techniques to let them sink in.

By the end of the course, you'll have learned the skills of cold connections and have created a piece of jewellery that you can bring home and wear. This course is the perfect intro to the art of silversmithing for those with no prior experience, and a fun and productive way to spend your weekend!

*All required tools and equipment are included. Materials for samples are included. Sterling silver is available for purchase for your final projects.

This course is part one of a 'two part' prerequisite for more advanced courses, workshops and open bench rentals.

Please note: Stairway Studio is not a scent-free environment, however we ask that the use of scented products be limited in order to avoid triggering sensitivities in fellow students when working in close quarters.
