Discover the world of flat chasing—creating controlled patterns and decorative designs on flat metal without the need for pitch. Working on steel or granite surfaces, you'll learn fast and effective techniques to bring texture and imagery to life.
Charles will share innovative tricks like hammering wire to create patterns and introduce drawing methods tailored for flat chasing. This workshop emphasizes precision, speed, and creativity. You'll also explore basic toolmaking and how to convert tools for specialized use.
Gain hands-on experience with various tools, including liners, stamps, side tools, gadrooning tools, matting and texture tools, chain tools, and more!
